Location:  Gettysburg, PA

Today I took a 2 hour bus tour of the Gettysburg battlefields.  Much easier on me to take a bus tour rather than walking and had a licensed guide telling us what we were seeing.  I don’t know about you, but I seldom can remember most of what they told me or even recognize the sight that they are describing many times.

It was a beautiful day, the weather was near 70 degrees and the colors of the leaves were just popping vibrant, golds, oranges and reds.  I’ve been longing to see this for over a month now and I am finally in the right place at the right time.

Gettysburg National Military Park is huge and plenty to do.  For more information you may go to their website at to get more information about the size and history of the Park.  I definitely would recommend this as a place to visit, especially if you’re interested in American history.  I wish I had allowed myself more time to spend here, but live and learn.  Here are some pictures I took today.  Hope you enjoy them.

I’m currently working my way southwest, back towards Texas and then going out west to Arizona for the winter with the other snowbirds.
