Location:  Gettysburg, PA

Today I took a 2 hour bus tour of the Gettysburg battlefields.  Much easier on me to take a bus tour rather than walking and had a licensed guide telling us what we were seeing.  I don’t know about you, but I seldom can remember most of what they told me or even recognize the sight that they are describing many times.

It was a beautiful day, the weather was near 70 degrees and the colors of the leaves were just popping vibrant, golds, oranges and reds.  I’ve been longing to see this for over a month now and I am finally in the right place at the right time.

Gettysburg National Military Park is huge and plenty to do.  For more information you may go to their website at https://www.nps.gov/gett/index.htm to get more information about the size and history of the Park.  I definitely would recommend this as a place to visit, especially if you’re interested in American history.  I wish I had allowed myself more time to spend here, but live and learn.  Here are some pictures I took today.  Hope you enjoy them.

I’m currently working my way southwest, back towards Texas and then going out west to Arizona for the winter with the other snowbirds.
